I started out in the pubs and clubs of Surrey at fourteen and after a long break from performing, I made an album of original songs in 2008 called ‘Thankful’. An album of solo acoustic blues called ‘Down the Line’ followed in 2009, ‘Snakes & Ladders’ came out in 2011 and Paul Jones kindly played a couple of tracks from it on his show on BBC Radio 2. 2014 saw the release of Vintage Troubadour, eleven of my own songs, a couple were played on BBC radio Berkshire, several digital stations and an FM station in the Netherlands.
Paul Jones also invited me to play at his charity night in Cranleigh in December 2012, on the same bill as Robben Ford, Imelda May and Mike Sanchez. I play mostly solo acoustic now, blues/roots and originals. In November 2013 I was joined on stage at a charity one man show of mine by my old friend Paul Weller and have played on a couple of his recent albums. In 2016 I received a silver disc from Parlophone Records for my contribution to Paul’s album Saturns Pattern.
My latest album, Hoodoo Zoo, released October 2017, was recorded at Black Barn Studio and features Ben Gordelier on drums and percussion with a guest appearance by Paul Weller on two of the songs.
